Lifelong student - I am currently in the doctoral program for Instructional Technology and Distance Education at Nova Southeastern University. This program is helping me to continue to develop my professional research and writing skills and to continue building my professional portfolio. Prior to this program I completed my BS in Biology from the University of North Florida, MBA from the University of Phoenix, and an MS in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University.

Experienced educator - I am currently in my 14th year as a science educator. I taught middle school science for 10 years before transitioning to high school. I am currently teaching high school Biology. In addition to teaching, I am a clinical educator. I support future educators that are completing their field experience. I also support my colleagues in any way that I can to transition into the field of education or navigate through the highs and lows of teaching.

One of the most important parts of my life is my relationship with my family. I have a very large family and enjoy spending time with them. I love God and I cherish my relationship with him. My passion for education has driven me to remain in this field for the long haul. I believe that education is the key to success.
